In the machine for producing measured warp lengths of the Specification 1145662, the eyed ends of levers 59 are replaced by hooks 70a, 70b &c. so that the thread guide 58 removes the thread from the hook and thus prevents chafing, the thread being returned after measuring by a lever 72 which disengages it from the thread guide and returns it to the appropriate hook.
