1357637 Concrete ECOTEC DITE SARL 21 May 1971 [22 May 1970 1 April 1971] 16425/71 Heading C1H A binder for use in concrete compositions comprises from 22 to 71À7 parts by weight of cement, from 28 to 78 parts by weight of clay and from 0À3 to 10 parts by weight of an adjuvant which is a deflocculating agent and/or a wetting agent. The concrete may be a refractory concrete wherein from 92À4 to 77À36 parts by weight of refractory aggregates are added to from 3 to 12 parts by weight of cement, from 4À56 to 9À73 parts by weight of clay and from 0À04 to 0À91 parts by weight of adjuvants. The cement may comprise calcium aluminates and the clay should be a kaolinite. The adjuvants may be alkali salts of phosphoric acid, alkali salts of silicic acid or sodium hexametaphosphate, sodium tannate, or sodium humate.
