Alkoxylated amines of Formula I in which R is the hydrocarbon residue of a fatty acid of 10-24 carbon atoms, A is selected from -CO-, -OCH 2 OH 2 -, -COOCH 2 CH 2 -, -CONH(CH 2 ) n - or -OCH 2 CHOHCH 2 -, X is of Formula II, Y is of Formula III or R-A-, Z is of Formula IV or R-A- m is an integer 1-6, n is an integer 2-6, p is 1 or 2, each of r, s and t independently of one another is an integer 1-200 and each of x, y and z independently of one another is 2, 3 or 4, with the proviso that at least one but not more than 100 ethylene oxide groups and at least one but not more than 200 alkylene oxide groups with 3-4 carbon atoms must be present are prepared by known methods. Examples 1-90 prepare compounds as above.
