Continuous operation, eliminating curled edges, poor appearance of hems panels show reductions and extensions identical to those found in fully fashioned clothing and the output is in the form of knitted continuous strip. - The continuous strip is first knitted and fully fashioned panels contours as required. The panels are cut from the continuous strip and sewn together. Contour is obtained on the cotton machine by the inclusion of two reduction plates, the standard punches giving the panel its shape which will be followed during cutting. Once the panel is finished a loose row or marking thread can be incorporated to locate the point of separation from the strip.
