The spout is secured to the kettle wall and an abutment surface which rests on the outside against the side of the kettle as well as an inside flange protruding into the kettle. The inner flange is formed on a tubular insertion piece. - The insertion piece clamps the spout against the kettle by an outer flange with grips over the spout from the inside, and rests against a ledge on the spout. Silicone rubber gasket seals the insertion piece against the side of the kettle and fits into a cavity in the spout, positioned between the kettle side, the insertion piece and the spout.
