A horn aerial 2 is corrugated by being provided with at least one spiro-helical groove or projection S on the inner surface thereof, to reduce sidelobes and frequency-dependent distortion. A groove may be formed by a screwcutting process, or a projection may be provided in casting or by metal deposition. As shown the groove S is single-start, but it could if desired be multi-start.
