1294644 Copy-holder O P TROING 6 May 1970 [8 May 1969] 21738/70 Heading B6W A typewriter copy-holder comprises a frame consisting of guide rods 5 and back plate 6, guide rollers 15 and 16 slidably mounted on rods 5 for adjustment towards and away from the typewriter platen 2, and an indicator member 19 affixed to the type-carrier. Additional guide rollers 12 and 13 may be provided at the base of the frame. A sheet 24 bearing the matter to be typed is joined to a blank sheet 23 using adhesive strips (31, Fig. 2, not shown) 32 to form a continuous loop threaded around the guide rollers and typewriter platen as shown. With a fixed platen and moving type carrier machine the indicator member 19 moves over the sheet 24 as typing progresses. With a moving platen machine the frame moves the sheet 24 beneath the indicator 19. When advancing the sheet 23 by one line the sheet 24 is moved by the same amount and indicator 19 is correctly aligned with the next line to be copied.
