Electrophotographic photosensitive material, with an organic photoconductor, is sensitised with a dyestuff of gen. formula: (in which independently R1 and R2 are H, 1 - 9C alkyl, 1 - 4C alkoxy, halogen or NO2; R3 is H or CH3; X is an anion). This causes an exceedingly fast rise in sensitivity, esp. red sensitivity, of materials contg. organic photoconductors and also gives the possibility of panchromatic sensitisation in conjunction with other sensitisers. The dyestuff is simple to mfr., needing no special and costly starting materials. It is used in amt. of 0.2 - 30 g/kg photoconductor.
