There may be more than two rows of charges each further row being fired at the moment when the rock destroyed by the explosive forces of the preceding row starts to move. The method may be used to erect cofferdams, dikes, piers, berths, in the mining industry to form a mound of blasted rock mass with a definite configuration, and in road construction to erect various kinds of fills and dikes in building a road bed.
