1437042 Developer material XEROX CORP 31 July 1973 [3 Aug 1972] 36440/73 Heading G2H An electrostatographic developer comprises toner material and a minor proportion based on the weight of the toner of at least one solid additive in the form of particles and comprising at least one compound selected from phthalic acid, isophthalic acid, terephthalic acid and the ammonium and the metal salts thereof. The additive is slated to assist transfer of the developed image and to prevent build-up of residual toner. The metal salt may be an alkali metal salt, an alkaline earth metal salt, a zinc, cadmium, aluminium, FeSP+++/SP, cobalt, lead, silver, CuSP++/SP, or nickel salt. The developer may also comprise carrier particles. Examples of suitable toner and carrier materials are given.
