A concentrated and/or purified product may be obtained by lyophilisation of a cell suspension of the cultured organism. Alternatively, the antigen may be obtained by treatment with cationic detergents, e.g. sodium lauryl sulphate, sodium deoxy cholate or sodium cholate to extract it from the cellular material.
