This invention relates to a novel substituted thiadiazole, identified as 1-[5-(2-chloro-1,1-dimethylethyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl]-1,3-dimethylu rea, to its use in a novel method for the control of unwanted vegetation, and to a novel herbicidal composition employing the substituted thiadiazole as the herbicidally-active ingredient.
