1431945 Bis-biguanidine mono-oxycarboxylic acid salts W HURKA 4 May 1973 [1 Aug 1972] 21319/73 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] Bis-guanidine mono-oxycarboxylic acid salts are produced by the reaction of a mono-oxycarboxylic acid having 2 to 4 carbon atoms or a salt of said acid, with a bis-biguanidine having the general formula in which A and ASP1/SP signify a phenyl radical which may be substituted with alkyl, alkoxy or nitro groups or with halogen atoms, R and RSP1/SP signify hydrogen or an alkyl radical or an aralkyl radical and X and XSP1/SP signify a direct bond or a alkylene radical consisting of not more than 3 carbon atoms, the substituents A and ASP1/SP, R and RSP1/SP, as well as X and XSP1/SP in each case being the same or different, and in which m signifies an integer between 2 and 12 inclusive, the polymethylene chain (CH 2 ) m optionally being interrupted by oxygen atoms and/or aromatic rings, or with a salt of said bis-biguanidine.
