Device for loading individual metal core rods into a mould tool between each moulding cycle, where the rods are loosely stacked in a 'V' shaped trough inclined towards the mould below the level of the core entry hole. The rod ends project such that they can be picked up by a wheel with a grooved tip one at a time. The riased rod is engaged by a driven roll, level with the mould entry, and fed into the mould. An ancillary roll with a soft cover may be raised to assist the driven roll toe xtract coated rods after the moulding operation. It is used for making stiffened mouldings for e.g. mfr. of plastic floral decorations.
