Continuous stationery is made initially as a continuous web (12) with large perforations (14) along each edge, with lines of perforations (16) across the web at right angles to the large perforations at spacings corresponding to the size of the pages after zig-zag folding, the regions (10) between the cross perforations being suitably printed, and adhesive stripes (20, 24) are applied alongside the large perforations, just inside and parallel to them. These adhesive stripes are interrupted in the region of alternate cross perforations, the gap being sufficient to avoid faulty folding. The stationery sets are folded by a reciprocating mechanism after insertion of the carbon copy webs between the printed webs and activation of the adhesive.
