Basalt - based fibrous material - with synthetic rubber latex as binder for improved biostability

Material contains 10-50 wt.% (w.r.t. the fibre) of synthetic rubber latex (I) pref. butadiene/acrylonitirle latex, as binder. The material opt. contains 10-50% cellulosic fibres w.r.t. the wt. of the fibrous constitutents. The material is used for paper and board, esp. as filter element for air and hot gases in medicine and the chemical ind.
