The mono rail vehicle is provided with an electromagnetic suspension and guiding system comprising two rows of magnets symmetrically mounted along the length of the vehicle, one on each side. These magnetic systems are situated outside the width of the vehicle body and are magnetically coupled to the track system. The rows are made up of mirror image pairs which are symmetric with respect to a vertical axis. The cores have a double T cross section with a booster winding on the vertical limb. The guide rail has a U shaped cross section with the base limb mounted vertically.
