Electronic switching circuit for radar signals - using gating pulses which are two to three times width of scanning pulses

The radar pulse gating circuit uses a number of stages (23, 24, 25, 26) each connected to one half of a stage of the adjacent section and to one of two lines (A, B) of a pulse generator output. The signals along the lines are similar but 180 deg. out of phase. Each stage contains a transistor the second (output) stage being connected with a diode S n) S (n +1) etc., which forms part of a switch element. The time constant of a resistor-capacitor combination on the first stage is such that a gating pulse is produced which is between two and three times the length of the scanning like pulses, thereby forming a blocking and switching pulse.
