The arrangement comprises: (a) reference section for building the ref. value 'm' for (2m) within the range (o m n), (b) setting section for setting the cyclic feeder to a value (2m) having the ref. value (m) by means of the start signal, (c) difference evaluator for producing an absolute difference value (W) from the feeder contents (Z) and (2m), (d) a comparator for obtaining the prefix value (W o) or (W o) by comparison of (Z) with (2m), (e) coincidence evaluator to form the zero value signal (W = o) when (Z) = (2m). The cycling feeder is set to a value (2m) within range o m n and supplied with impulses or binary values for evaluation. Contents (Z) and value (2m) and then compared in the difference evaluator and value (W) obtained. The comparator determines the prefix (W o) or (W o) and the coincidence evaluator aims to obtaine zero value by comparing (Z) with (2m).
