Automatic target tracking is performed. In order to save digital storage locations during clutter decorrelation after manual signal pre-processing, only the binary coded radar video signal evaluated over several aerail revolutions are added up in a nonrecursive integrator; after low-pass filters have reached steady state, the corresponding bearing signals are delivered; they are then processed in real time by a permanently allocated, or multiplex wandering window detector operated in time; target beginning and end signals are used by a following line estimator, together with single and double bearings; after a disjunctive linking over two consecutive range rings, they are stored in an intermediate bearing store with a suitable number of bits.
