Modular unit for fixtures used on machine tools - has composite profiles held on machine table

The modular units are used especially for fixtures used on metal cutting machine tools. The modular components have profiles for fitting into the T slots of the machine tool table. The clamping component consists of an upper and lower profile which can be fitted into the T slots in the table. The profiles are held together with two bolts and an internal spring is provided for pushing the profiles apart. The lower profile has two lateral contact surfaces which match the corresponding slot contacting surfaces in the fixture components. Hence this profile is used as an aligning key for direct alignment of the fixture components, which have matching T slots for clamping purposes. The clamping components are identical and can be built up to support fixtures of different configurations.
