1417474 Heat-treating nickel alloys INTERNATIONAL NICKEL Ltd 28 Aug 1974 [6 Sept 1973] 41888/73 Heading C7A An alloy containing in wt per cent is solution treated at 1 120-1200‹C for 2-16 hours, followed by heating at 970-1030‹C for 2-10 hours, 870-930‹C for 8-48 hours, and finally ageing at 600-800‹C for 8-48 hours. After each stage the alloy may be air cooled or preferably by forced gas. It is used particularly for gas turbine components and for diesel engine turbo blowers.
