The threaded ends of the bar rest in housings mounted on the posts. A half sphere ball joint is screwed on the end of the bar mating with a low friction plastic concave bearing, thus tensioning the bar correctly. Two aligned bushes with an elastic coupling between them complete the arrangement. One bush is on the end of the ball joint and has a pin going through the bush and bar to stop twist and sideways movement. The other bush is situated on the opposite end of the housing. The bush arrangement allows the correct torsional flexure of the bar.
