Foam cored thermoplastic extrudates for cladding profiles - combining assembly patterns with a self skinned foam

Thermoplastic extrudates comprises a dense homogeneous skin enclosing an integral foamed core where the profile section defines a broad panel with subsidiary profiles such as dovetail tongue or slots along one face of the panel and edge profiles to facilitate mating of adjacent panels. This structure is used in making cladding panels out of e.g. PVC, polyolefins, toughened polystyrene, polycarbonates, acrylic resins etc. The efficiency of producing foam cored panels and modular assembly shapes can be efficiently produced in a single operation (with transverse sawing).
