The wrist circumference gauge comprises a band with longitudinal divisions (2) and a sliding block element (3) at one end (4) of the band with at least one pointer (8) on it ionteracting with the longitudinal divisions (2) to indicate the length of an armband of known thickness required to precisely encircle the wrist, with the device fastened onto the wrist by feeding the free end of the band into the sliding block element. Pref. the band is approximately the thickness of a metal watch band. The sliding block is shaped like a watch case and has a through opening (6) accepting the free end of the band. A window (7) in the element is equipped with at least one pointer (8). This design permits more accurate measurement especially taking into consideration the watch band thickness.
