Mounting bearing for turret gun of armoured vehicle - is adapted to support gun equipment and crew seats

The complete gun assembly, the ammunition magazine and the crew seats form a unit which is connected by trunnion pins to the rotating inner ring of the tilting bearing. The elevation axis formed by the trunnion pins, when viewing in the direction of firing, is situated in front of or behind the tilting bearings. The tubes of the aiming devices and optical systems pass through the rotting joint of the gun cradle, bearing housings as well as the inner ring of the tilting bearing, and through the tilting bearings proper. The outlet openings for the tubes of aiming and observation appts. may be arranged in the upper part of the gun rotating joint in the turret or between the rotating joint and the top cover of the turret.
