The method of costing repair work to vehicles in which calculators may also be used to obtain sub=totals etc., and where account must be made of overtime and double time rates of pay for the mechanics, uses a transparent master sheet which is placed over the printed sheets on which the hours of work and spare parts used are set out line by line for all the different parts of the vehicle (e.g. headlamps, heating and cooling devices, hooter, indicator lamps) so that a rapid overall cost for a given vehicle can quickly be obtained.
