TV camera for microfilm reading - converts information recorded on microfilm into video signal

A film holder has drives positioning the microfilm. A light source illuminates it and a t.v. camera with a strongly magnifying objective are mounted on a common housing for frame. An intermediate projection plane (7) is provided in the light path between the microfilm (1) and the t.v. camera tube (9) photosensitive electrode. A semitransparent mirror (6) is allocated to it. A first objective (5) follows the microfilm (1). It projects the film image through the semitransparent mirror (6) on the intermediate projection plane (7) perpendicular to the film plane. A second objective (8) picks up the film image on the intermediate plane and projects it on the t.v. camera tube's (9) photosensitive electrode.
