An analyser used to determine the distribution matrix of the local X-ray absorption, whereby the precisely calculated density of electrons resulting from the local X-ray absorption is used to calculate the isodose curves or surfaces in the tissue to be irradiated so that the correct radiation dose can be administered without being to great to destroy surrounding healthy tissue or too little to be effective. Pref. the distribution matrix can be determined using the energy dependent effective collision cross section formula of Klein-Nishina. The isodose curves relating to the absorption and scatter cross section of the analyser X-rays can be directly related to the effective cross section of the X-ray and gamma rays of the therapy apparatus.
