Thermal cleaning system for waste gases - oxidises toxic waste in a combustion chamber supplied with electromagnetic emission

The arrangement for thermal cleaning of waste gases or contaminated air oxidises combustible residues in the waste gas in a combustion chamber to which external energy is supplied. Waste gases are cleaned in optimum manner with low external energy consumption. The combustion chamber (8) has a radiator (4) which emits electromagnetic waves for heating the toxic components by the absorption of radiated energy. A number of these emitters formed can be arranged along the combustion chamber (8) walls. The emitters (4) are quartz glass tubes with internal electrical heating windings. These radiators emit continuous emission spectrum and the wavelength of the absorption energy maximum is equal to that of the toxic substances to be burnt.
