Individual room temp control in central heating system - strategically placed sensor coupled to operational amplifier regulating stage

A temperature regulator for a central heating system enables precise control of individual room temperature with provision for programmed change in reference temperature and independence of the general operating temperature of the sytem. The thermostat valve has resistance coils (2) for temperature sensing and these are coupled to a power output transistor (5). The transistor is also coupled to the regulator stage operation amplifier (4) with capacitor resistance feedback to provide either PI or PID control. A bridge input circuit has resistance coil type room temperature sensor (6) and areference setting potentiometer for daytime temperature (7). A second potentiometer may be set to give a reduced nighttime temperature (8) that has a relay (9) controlled by a programme.
