摘要
The masonry building-block may be either solid or hollow, and has corresponding upwards-running shaped-section pieces on its end faces, so that when walling is constructed these combine with corresponding shaped-section pieces on adjacent blocks, to form a compartment for mortar. One end face (2) has a rib (4), set symmetrically to the longitudinal centre plane of the block (1, 7) with a rectangular-sectioned recess (5) which is serrated and accommodates the rib on the adjacent block's opposite face (3) when they are assembled together. The long side of the rectangular cross-section of rib and recess runs parallel to the end face (2, 3), while the short side is smaller than the short rectangular side of the cross-section of the recess.
