Stirring and aerating device - with impellers for local circulation and aera-tion through partitions

A stirring and aerating device for use in appts. for mass exchange in the chemical industry, in fermentation appts. and in metallurgical wet processes, consists of a vertical shaft with impellers, each separated from the next by a partition. A cylinder with a swaged-out part forms an annular gap with each impeller to produce a directional circulation. The aeration medium is introduced through peripheral holes in an annulus attached to each partition.
