Knife edge support for weighing balance arm - two pivots and wire preventing lateral movement

A supporting device for weighing balance lever consists of two supports (4, 5) which may either be knife edges or ball bearings, resting on a fixed part. The supports are aligned with the oscillatory axis(6) of the balance lever(1) and thus constitute the pivots of the lever. Any lateral displacement of the lever along the oscillatory axis is prevented by a wire in line with the oscillatory axis and anchored to the lever at one point (11) on the lever and two points (8, 9) on the fixed part.
