Recovering metal contg waste in iron smelting - by pelletising mixt of waste contg controlled quantity of water, binder and extra-fine coal

Metal-contg. waste from Fe smelting is recovered by pelletising. A waste mixt. is formed contg. by wt., 7% water, 6 (2-6) % binder, pref. a bituminous binder, 25% dry extra-fine coal having 100 mu grain-size the balance being fine coal having 100 mu grain-size, and pressed to pellets, which can be re-charged to steel refining processes.
