The manipulating table is particularly for a packing station, holding a box at the desired height and allowing its removal without having to lift it. A guide track(2) is mounted on the table base(1), supporting and guiding the article during removal. A moving support(12) for the article works between upper and lower positions, the latter below the guide track, so as to set the article down on it. It travels in guides(7, 8, 9) fixed to the base, and a locking device secures it to them at any desired level. The support can be mounted on a truck with rollers working in the guides.
