Tray for producing ice cubes bearing relief inscriptions comprises compartments of which the bottom walls which are deformable by the action of a pump to allow instant lifting of the cubes. The bottom wall may bear advertising inscriptions for forming advertising inscriptions in relief on the cubes. In an example, the tray includes a rigid metal or plastic base which is fixed to the upper part of the tray and reinforced with a network of grooves which define a space beneath each ice cube compartment. The spaces communicate with each other by a system of channels, and are filled with a fluid having a f.pt. lower than water. At the edge of the tray is the monobloc pump of rubber or plastic, consisting of two deformable bellows members which are deformed b the thumb and palm of the operator to displace the liquid contained in them into the spaces beneath the compartments.
