The ladder cord has two side strings (1, 2) which are interconnected by numerous transverse strings (3). The transverse strings consist of two parallel strings, between which the sunshade lamellae (5) are inserted. Each transverse string (3) is provided with a receiving eye (4) for the shade lamellae (5), one end of which is fastened to the side string (1) lying next to the window and which is shorter than the transverse strings (3). Installation of the shade lamellae (5) is made easier by the ends of the eye (4) facing away from the window being interconnected by a string (7). As this string is crocheted, it can be removed again easily after mounting of the shade lamellae by undoing. As the shade lamellae consequently hang in the eyes (4), it is prevented that the side strings (2) facing away from the window are subjected to the weight of the shade lamellae, so that the actuation of the sunshade is made easier by the unloaded side strings (2). Moreover, rubber strips (6) provided on the shade lamellae can, on screening, be brought by the eyes (4) to bear against the respective lower shade lamella. IMAGE
