Textile material which is easily deformable when cold, esp. for upholstering e.g. of car seats, comprises a knitted fabric with loops of synthetic textured yarn, coated with a layer of cellular PVC and covered with a polyurethane lacquer. The coating is attached pointwise to the textile material. The material can be shaped cold and is used, e.g. for making car seats by placing in a suitable mould and forcing in suitable filling e.g. of polyurethane form.
