The piezoelectric transducer, for coupling a mechanical filter to a pushpull modulator, has a piezoelectric body (P) with a non-piezoelectric region dividing it into two zones of opposite polarity. One side of both zones is coupled to a metal body (K1) that connects to the mechanical filter. - The other side of each zone is connected to a separate metal body (K2, K3). the two separate bodies form the electrical connections to the piezoelectric body and are on the opposite side of the latter to the mechanical coupling. the arrangement produces longitudinal movements. The transverse movements can be achieved by sandwiching the coupling element between two oppositely-poled piezoelectric bodies.
