Pipe connector for a field or garden sprinkler is connected to a stationary pipe network installed underground comprises a guide pipe in which a telescopic pipe is guided between its wider-dia ends. The surface of the telescopic pipe has dimensions such that the pressure applied to it by flow of water is greater than the frictional force of displacement in the guide pipe.
