Brewery straining vat for first wort - has additional draw off openings in draw off bottom for uniform wort flow and leaching rate

A straining vat for the first wort in beer breweries has below the perforated horizontal strainer a draw-off bottom which is inclined towards the centre. At a distance from the central draw-off opening additional draw-off openings with co-ordinated baffles and guides are arranged in the draw-off bottom. This prevents any undue retention of the wort and ensures a more uniform leaching of the mash by a uniform flow rate.
