Pneumatic slide drive with oil damping - has damping characteristics of air chambers kept constant using oil chamber reservoirs

The slide drive consists of a compressed air cylinder with two pistons and a piston rod. The piston rod is fixed to the frame over which the slide can move. At least one of the pistons can move freely over the piston rod. The air cylinder is connected to the slide. The section of the air cylinder between the two pistons is divided into two oil chambers. The volumes of the oil chambers depend on the position of the cylinder. The compressed air chambers for moving the cylinder, are between the pistons and the cylinder end walls. The oil chambers are divided by a wall with a choke throughlet opening. The pistons are provided with grooves which are connected by radial channels to an outlet channel for leakage oil.
