stabilising unit for insulated cross-arms of overhead power cables suspension system uses at least two auxiliary cables attached at one or more points on the insulated cross-arms. The auxiliary cables are tensioned on both sides of the insulated cross-arms and are fastened to the conductor cable. The two auxiliary cables are specif. fastened at the point of attachment of the insulated cross-arms lower strap, and, more specif. at the point of attachment of the insulated cross-arms' upper strap. This arrangement of the stabilising unit protects the insulated cross arms when they are swung out of their normal position by wind action.
