Plate-shaped workpiece automatic cutting machine - has coordinated cross cut and distribution with single saw unit regulated by guide beam

The appts. performs automatic cross and lengthways distribution of plate-shaped workpieces, whereby also displaced cuts (so-called 'variegated distribution') are possible both crossways and lengthways. Both the displacement processes required for the distribution process on the workpiece and the cutting movements of the saw traverse for the cross dividing cut are undertaken by means of the same displacement unit, which at the same time serves as guide beam for the single saw unit. All lifting, positioning of plates, position of saw units, saw unit cutting and removal of divided sections are achieved by a vertically working lifting unit, a horizontal travellable traverse, and a saw unit travellable to the traverse.
