The building system makes use of prefabricated elements permitting a variable plan, for swellings, schools, hospitals etc. The three groups of elements comprise load bearing external wall elements (X), interior support columns, (Y) and floor-ceiling slabs (Z) to cover the spaces defined. Construction begins with a reinforced concrete base slab set on the foundations. The external walls and columns are then erected on this, according to the requirements of the plan, and the prefabricated reinforced-concrete floor-ceiling slabs are positioned, supported partly on walls and partly on columns. Flooring, doors and windows, and other internal fittings, are subsequently added in the normal way. The three groups of elements can be interconnected by reinforced-concrete links, cast into open spaces at the points of contact.
