摘要

The motor cooling agent is a fine mist of water and air. The air is circulated around the windings by the motor ventilation system and water droplets are introduced by nozzles which project in the airstream. The heated mixture then exhausts to the atmosphere. In the case of sealed motors, the air can be replaced by a gas such as hydrogen and the water can condense around an internal cooling jacket and be reintroduced as droplets by nozzles as before. This cooling system takes advantage of the improved high-humidity performance of machines and the thermal characteristics of vaporising water.
