The bucket for a loading shovel used mainly in farming, has a trough-shaped section (6) with two side walls (4, 5) and a bottom (2) ending in a cutting edge (3). Above the trough-shaped section (6) is an upper V-shaped plate (8) whose own upper edges (9, 10) are inclined towards the upper edges of the side-walls (4, 5). The two arms (11, 12) of the V-shaped plate (8) have on each upper edge a bent sliding plate (13, 14) which can be removed if necessary. Because of the V-shaped plate and the adjacent sliding plates, when the scoop is full, the contents slide towards the back and to each side instead of piling up in the middle and spilling out.
