Steel forms for in situ concrete lintels - has side and soffit frame with bolts, ties and angle brackets

The reusable demountable steel forms are used in constructing internal door lintels (B) out of in situ reinforced concrete. The lintels are cast contiguously with a concrete floor above (F). A lintel shutter assembly comprises two sheet steel side forms (12) and a doorway soffit form (16). The two side forms (12) are longer than the width of the door opening. The soffit forms (16) are of inverted shallow U-section and bolted (22) to external base flanges provided on the side forms. Transverse ties (70) are used to clamp the side forms in position. Angle brackets (26) provided externally on the side forms support the adjacent floor formwork joist (46). The transverse ties (70) may be inverted 'U' bars which are secured by external chock joists (64).
