The audio visual system uses a phase before visual and audio phases. This phase teaches the student to draw the object by means of stencil which separates the contour of a unique object. The stencil has one or more elements associated with the object or parts of the object which can themselves have one or several cutouts. These cutouts can be placed in the principal cutout or in cutouts of other elements. The stencil is centred on the image of the object, and eventually a piece of tracing paper is interposed. The image is obtained by projection of a slide, representing the object, onto a screen.
